A Muslim cleric who urged followers to kill non-believers, Americans, Hindus and Jews has been jailed for nine years.
Jamaican-born Sheik Abdullah el-Faisal, 39, was told he had "fanned the flames of hostility", as Old Bailey judge Peter Beaumont delivered the sentence.
Sheik Abdullah el-Faisal:
"So you go to India and if you see a Hindu walking down the road you are allowed to kill him and take his money, is that clear?"
"You have to learn how to shoot. You have to learn how to fly planes, drive tanks and you have to learn how to load your guns and to use missiles."
"You are only allowed to use nuclear weapons in that country which is 100% unbelievers."
"There are two religions in the world today - the right one and the wrong one. Islam versus the rest of the world."
During the trial el-Faisal argued that his words were taken from the Koran, the Muslim holy book, and that he had been misrepresented.
Sahih Muslim Book 008 - Chapter 29:Feb 20:
It is permissible to have sexual intercourse with a captive woman after she is purified (of menses or delivery) in case she has a husband, her marriage is abrogated after she becomes captive
Sahih Muslim Book 008, Number 3432:
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (Allah her pleased with him) reported that at the Battle of Hanain Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) sent an army to Autas and encountered the enemy and fought with them.
Having overcome them and taken them captives, the Companions of Allah's Messenger (may peace te upon him) seemed to refrain from having intercourse with captive women because of their husbands being polytheists.
Then Allah, Most High, sent down regarding that: "And women already married, except those whom your right hands possess (iv. 24)" (i. e. they were lawful for them when their 'Idda period came to an end).
"The Qur'an tells us that Muhammad (sws) was not only a Prophet (nabi) but also a messenger (Rasu'l) of Allah. |
"The Qur'an goes further to tell us how this punishment was implemented on the polytheists from among the direct addressees of the Prophet (sws). |
Fatwa at the website of the University of Houston Muslim Students Association:
"someone who refuses to pray must be killed"
How Does One Behave Toward a Relative who Does Not Pray?:
Question:
I have a brother-in-law who rarely prays. I live with my husband's family and [the female members of] his family sit with him even if the Imam is praying. What should I do? I am not one of his relatives (mahram). Is there any sin upon me since I do not have the ability to advise him?
Response:
If he does not pray, then he is deserving to be boycotted. You should not greet him nor should you respond to hit greeting, until he repents. This is because not praying is a great form of kufr [that takes one out of the fold of Islam]. This is true even if the person does not deny that it is obligatory. This is according to the most correct opinion among the scholars.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,
"The covenant that is between us and them [the disbelievers] is the prayer. Whoever abandons it has committed blasphemy."
This was recorded by Ahmad and the compilers of the Sunan with a sound chain. The Prophet (peace be upon him) also said,
"Between a man and disbelief and polytheism is the abandoning of the prayer."
This was recorded by Imam Muslim in his Sahih.
However, if a person denies the obligation of the prayers then he is a disbeliever according to the consensus of the scholars.
Therefore, it is obligatory upon his family to advise him and to boycott him if he does not repent. It is also obligatory to take his matter to the ruler for him to be asked to repent. If he repents, [that is accepted from him]. If he does not repent, he is to be killed.
This is because Allah has said in the Quran,
"But if they repent and offer prayer perfectly and give zakat, then leave their way free" (al-Tauba 5).
Also, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said,
"I have been prohibited from killing those who pray."
These evidences show that one who does not pray is not to have his "way left free" and there is no prohibition against killing him if he is taken to the authorities and he does not repent.
And Allah is the One who provides guidance.

Militants set deadline for women to quit jobs : M. Saleem Pandit - Times News Network - January 10, 2003 SRINAGAR: A militant group in Rajouri has asked Muslim women to quit their jobs by January 25 and stay home, or face punishment, including death. Posters to this effect have appeared overnight on the main walls of a mosque in Shahdara Sharief. Similar posters appeared a few days ago too, asking Muslim families to marry off their daughters by the age of 15. The handwritten posters carry the name of Harkat-ul-Jehadi-Islamia (Huji). They have been removed by the police, said an official. The Lashkar-e-Jabbar was the first militant group in Rajouri to come up with a code of conduct for women. |
They demanded that women and even girls, wear burqas when out in public. They, too, had issued threats for non-compliance. The issue had evoked widespread criticism, and when women refused to comply, Jabbar had resorted to acid attacks and finally killed four women. This time, they have found a fervent supporter in Huji. Besides the burqa diktat, the Huji has even supported Jabbara's demand that women should be accompanied by men whenever they go out. All womenshould take baths at home and stay all the times in their homes, the Huji posters have declared. The Times of India |
